At 鲍德温华莱士 you can 参与 in 深思熟虑有组织的服务经历 that meet 社区 needs and help foster civic 责任. You can serve 在本地 but also 在 the United States and even abroad. You can 开发领导 skills as well as learn more about 你自己. What could be more 重要的 than that?

Boys and Girls Club

BW 学生 join the Boys and Girls Club of 克利夫兰 in their 任务 to “激发 and enable young people who need us most to reach their full 潜在的 as 生产力, 关心, 负责任的公民." BW 学生开发的关系 with youth at the West Side Club while 帮助 with 家庭作业 and 参与 in 休闲活动 like 踢球, crafts and games.

West Side 天主教 Center

BW 学生 serve at the West Side 天主教中心的 women and 孩子们的住所, where they 提供 a loving 环境 and fun 教育活动 for the 孩子们 while their 母亲 attend group 会话.

凯霍加 County Board of 发展残疾的人

The 凯霍加 County Board of 发展残疾的人提供了 a wide range of 服务 to 孩子们 and adults with 发展残疾的人. BW 学生 spend time on campus with adults from the 布鲁克林 Adult 活动 Center as well as on field trips to the mall, zoo and more.

St. Pat's (WSEM Food Center at Near West)

The Food Center at Near West offers an 晚上 meal three days per week as well as a food pantry and 推荐服务 for 家庭 and 个人 in need. BW 学生 serve dinner on 周二 nights and offer 活动选项 such as 着色 and games for any 孩子们现在 at the meal.

BW Dance 马拉松

GIFT DRIVE

MLK Day of 学习

The 替代 Break 经验提供了 BW 学生 with the 机会 to break from the norm and spend their 大学 break 服务 with other 学生. Each trip is led by a BW 学生. A BW 教师 or staff 顾问 also 参与 with each trip.

Jacket 慈善事业程序

In the past six years, 382 BW 学生提供 close to 5,000 hours of 服务 and 授予 $94,500 in grant funds.

To 鼓励 even higher 学生投票率, BW has joined more than 500 U.S. 大学 and 大学 taking part in the ALL IN Campus 民主挑战. View BW's ALL IN Action Plan.

As an ALL IN 参与者, BW 提交 to 工作 toward 增加学生 voting rates and 培养 active and 通知公民身份. BW's Brain Center will 召开 a 在全校推广 ALL IN 委员会 to 开发 and 实现 an action plan to 鼓励学生订婚.
